SNOWMOBILING SEASON FOR 2007-2008 What started out to be a slow beginning of the season, we are glad to inform you that the trails are exceeded it's goal in opening up 95% of the trail effective today February 22, 2008. There are a number of issues, those being ice and snow conditions, mechanic breakdowns or poor weather conditions. There are a number of iniatiatives that we are working on, stay tuned for upcoming announcements... A MESSAGE TO VISITORS TO LABRADOR For those wishing to travel the length of the Labrador Winter Trail, please contact our office at 1-877-884-7669 prior to your departure. There are a number of sections that are impassable, at the moment, due to adverse snow and ice conditions. However, there are some wonderful trails that are groomed and ready for your Labrador Adventure. Our office will be able to provide you with the most updated information for the area which you want to explore. MANDATORY TRAIL PASSES The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has legislated mandatory trail passes for riders in Labrador. The revenue from these passes is used for the maintenance and operations of the trail system. The cost of the trail pass is $113.00 (tax included) per sled for the central and western areas of Labrador. The South Coast and Straits trail pass is $67.80(tax included).
